I particularly appreciate the tremendous flexibility and detail the planner provides in specifying investment mix in both conventional forecasts and Monte Carlo simulations. This feature, and the ability to generate various “worst case” scenarios (e.g., major recessions) give me much greater confidence that the results are realistic. I use a personal financial advisor, but I also like doing my own analysis for a second opinion. Last year The Relax Retirement Planner was telling me I was in good shape until my wife and I were past age 100. Although this year (2022) all the markets took a dive, the planner allowed me to model for various market conditions, and it told me everything was still OK. What I especially like are the reports and charts showing where your income is coming from each year. Not many products show this in detail.

I found this tool to be very easy to use. It takes into consideration all of the pertinent factors and does all of the legwork for you. I love that it factors in what state you live in and allows you to decide when you plan to take social security, since these things matter.
